Zřícenina hradu “Burgruine Staatz” (30 km) se nachází na kopci a je volně přístupná po celý rok. Prohlídky s průvodcem probíhají od května do října, a to vždy v neděli od 15 hodin.
Na úpatí hradního kopce je skalní hlediště, kde se v létě konají muzikály. Jedná se o jedno z největších divadel pod širým nebem s 1200 místy v Rakousku. Muzikály se hrají po celé léto. Večerní představení jsou neskutečně působivá a v divákovi zanechávají nezapomenutelný zážitek.
Na úpatí zříceniny hradu se nachází kavárna, kterou vlastní nizozemský výrobce pralinek (Zartpralinen – držitel mnoha mezinárodních ocenění) a která též stojí za návštěvu. Budete zde moci sledovat výrobu pralinek přímo před vámi včetně vyzkoušení a ochutnání.

Dalším zajímavým místem je bezesporu sousední městečko Hanftal, které konopí nese dokonce přímo ve svém názvu.

Unterhalb der Burgruine Staatz befindet sich eine der größten Open-Air-Bühnen Österreichs mit 1200 Sitzplätzen. Hier werden den ganzen Sommer über Musicals aufgeführt. Am Fuße der Burgruine sollte man sich außerdem einen Besuch im Café der, vor einigen Jahren zugezogenen, niederländischen Pralinenhersteller gönnen. Die Nove Mlyny Stauseen sind eine Kaskade von drei Stauseen hintereinander gereiht. Sie dienen hauptsächlich dem Fischfang, Baden, Windsurfing oder Bootsfahrten. Die Umgebung ist sehr gut für Spaziergänge und Radtouren geeignet.

Bei einer Führung (Sonn- und Feiertags um 15 Uhr ab acht Personen) geben die alten Mauern ihr Geheimnis preis.

The Castle ruins of ‘Burgruine Staatz’ are situated on the top of a hill in the middle of Staatz-Kautendorf. They are freely accessible throughout the year. There are guided tours from May until October, always on Sundays at 3pm.
Below the castle ‘Burgruine Staatz’ is one of the biggest open air stages in Austria, with 1200 seats. Musicals are regularly performed throughout the Summer. These summer shows, beneath this nearly one thousand year old castle, are spectacularly and extravagantly illuminated at night time, making it an unforgettable experience.
Also, at the foot of the castle ruins, there is a café owned by a Dutch Chocolate manufacturer, which is well worth a visit. It has been awarded a number of “International Chocolate Awards”. The Almond orchard Hustopeče (30 km) – A 9 km long almond orchard trail is a natural rarity in Central Europe, as it consists of 1200 trees, which were planted here in 1949.
