Die Ortschaft Hlohovec (Gemeinde Břeclav) ist bis heute der Tradition sehr stark verbunden. Zweimal im Jahr findet daher ein traditionelles Volksfest statt: einmal im Mai zu Ehren des Hl. Johannes Nepomuk, dem Heiligen von Böhmen
Das Herumziehen von einer Hlohovecer Weinkellerei in die nächste und die Vorführung einer besonderen Musik dort, welche “Cimbál” genannt wird, hat eine lange Tradition. In allen ca. zwanzig Kellereien sollte man sich ans Mitmachen und an die Verkostung von reichlich Wein gewöhnen.
Dieses Weinfest sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen! Der erste „Federweiße/ bzw. -rote“ Südmährens („burcák“ – in Österreich auch „Sturm“, in der Schweiz „Sauser“ genannt) kann verkostet werden… und natürlich auch jede Menge „richtigen“ Weins… direkt von Hlohovecer Winzern.
Ein Wein- und Federweißer Fest (österr. “Sturm”, schweiz. “Sauser”) der guten Laune. Man bekommt hier viele volkstümliche Kostüme zu Gesicht, ethnographische Kinder-Ensembles, sowie Männer- und Frauenchöre. Aber auch moderne Musik hat ihren Platz auf der Bühne.
