Mandloňový sad Hustopeče (30 km) – 9 km dlouhá stezka mandloňovým sadem je přírodní raritou ve střední Evropě, neboť ji tvoří 1200 stromů, které zde byly vysazeny v roce 1949.
Historie pěstování mandloní na našem území však sahá až do 17. století. Slavnosti mandloní a mandlovice se konají na přelomu března a dubna, neboť mandloně patří mezi první posly jara a kvetou ze všech stromů nejdříve.

Laa an der Thaya (40 km) je upravené pohraniční městečko proslulé termálními lázněmi, které se těší velké oblibě, a to nejen kvůli venkovnímu bazénu se slanou vodou, kde hraje podvodní hudba.
