Laa an der Thaya and Hanfthal

Laa an der Thaya (40km) – is a landscaped border town, which is famous for its thermal baths, which are a very popular tourist attraction.

Hanfthal (Hemp-village) is a small village located south-west of Laa an der Thaya with an 800-year old tradition of growing hemp. Since 2004 people have cultivated widespread hemp-fields here again. An interesting hemp-museum can be visited and also a hemp-adventure-path with trained hemp-guides.
