Cucumber growing in the Znojmo region has a long tradition. The Cucumber Festival offers a traditional cucumber market and a special gastronomic menu, competitions for the best pickled cucumber, quick brew and a skill competition in filling jars with cucumbers on time. Die traditionelle Wein-Weihe findet am Feiertag des Hl. Johannes, des Apostels, statt (27. Dezember). Ihm soll, der Legende nach, ein Becher mit vergiftetem Wein gereicht worden sein, den er, durch einen Segen, in nicht-giftigen Wein verwandelt haben soll.
Im Schloss findet das jährliche St. Martins Fest statt mit der Verkostung regionaler junger Weine von Mikulov. Am Hauptplatz gibt es außerdem Kultur- und Musikveranstaltungen. Am 11. November bekommt Mikulov Besuch vom Hl.
